ANTIPOLO RIZAL — On August 1, 2023, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Rizal Provincial Office through Negosyo Center Antipolo, successfully conducted a comprehensive orientation for 30 carinderia owners under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program. The event took place at the DTI-Rizal Provincial Office Training Room, located in Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City.

The orientation was conducted in two sessions to accommodate all participants, with the first session starting at 9:30 am and the second session at 1:30 pm.

The main objective of the orientation was to empower and equip the carinderia owners with essential knowledge about the DTI’s various programs and services, particularly the PPG program, which aims to support micro-enterprises affected by various disasters, including the recent challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Led by Business Counselor Daryl Andres, the orientation featured informative discussions on the following topics: 

DTI Program and Services: The participants were provided with a detailed overview of the diverse services and assistance offered by the Department of Trade and Industry, with a specific focus on how these services can benefit micro-enterprises. 

Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program: The carinderia owners were briefed about the PPG program’s mission and objectives, emphasizing its role in helping micro-enterprises recover and rebuild after facing fire incidents, calamities, and health pandemics. 

During the orientation, the participants wholeheartedly embraced the Pledge of Commitment, signifying their unwavering dedication to revitalizing their businesses and contributing to the economic growth of the community. The Pledge of Commitment is a solemn declaration made by each beneficiary, binding them to uphold the values and principles that underpin the DTI-Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (DTI-PPG) program.

The momentous event was graced by the presence of DTI-Rizal OIC Provincial Director, Cleotilde M. Duran, who expressed her support and encouragement to all the carinderia owners as they embark on the journey towards rebuilding their livelihoods and making a positive impact in their local communities.

Facilitated by the dedicated BC Andres, PPG Staff Ferrer, and TIDS Adaya, the orientation provided an engaging and interactive learning experience for the participants. They were able to clarify their queries, share their insights, and gain valuable knowledge to enhance their businesses’ resilience.
