The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Rizal Provincial Office through Negosyo Center (NC) Sampaloc Tanay successfully conducted the CHAMPS Rizal Season 4 Food Industry Module: Costing and Pricing virtually attended by a total of 30 CHAMPS Rizal program beneficiaries and potential participants from various municipalities of Rizal held last August 9, 2023.

Negosyo Center Business Counselor Ms. Cristine Joy Padayao facilitated the conduct of the program, welcoming and acknowledging the presence of guests and participants. Ms. Sharon F. Dioco – Chief of Business Development Division of DTI-Rizal graced the program and gave her empowering message.

Moreover, Ms. Padayao introduced the guest speaker – Chef Marie Fiona Flores, owner of Kayako Kitchen and Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of PACE Technology and Arts. Chef Fiona focused her discussion on the importance of counting costs and tackled the different types of food business costs. She demonstrated how to create a standardized recipe and properly compute the food cost using one of the participant’s suggested recipes.

Afterwards, questions raised by the participants were accommodated by Chef Fiona. The program fruitfully ended at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The CHAMPS Rizal Season 4 was launched last July 5 and will run every Wednesday until September 2023. ♦
