CALAMBA, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office through Negosyo Center Lumban conducted SMERA on Business Concepts.
SMERA or Small and Medium Enterprise Roving Academy of the Department is a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become competitive in the domestic and international markets.
The said event was held at CLDD Training Center at Mercado de Calamba last 24th of March, 2023. The event was graced by the head of Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department (CLDD) of the City Government of Calamba, Mr. Leonardo F. Opulencia Sr., PhD., who pushed the entrepreneurs to continue seek guidance and learning from the opportunities provided the Department and the City Government of Calamba.
CLDD Calamba is consistent in conducting various seminars and training for the benefit of existing and potential MSMEs from the City of Calamba to strengthen the business sector and to provide these MSMEs more options in growing their business. This seminar is a part of CLDD’s development program and the topic on Business Concepts is a crucial part of any startup and serves many benefits. It is a pillar that gives structure and framework to a startup and even for existing business.
The said seminar aims to provide information regarding the latest trends in businesses and equip the MSMEs with new business ideas that they can adopt and implement in their own business establishments. Through this seminar, the goal is to empower the beneficiaries and give them courage to start developing new business concepts that can boost their maximum business growth potential.
The event concluded with an open forum in which participants were able to clarify some points and share their insights. ♦
