TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN — The Shared Service Facility-Regional Technical Working Group (SSF-RTWG), under the leadership of DTI Region 2 Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo and composed of the DTI Provincial Directors and Technical Consultants from Region 2, convened its 1st meeting for CY 2024 on 4 April 2024, at the DTI R2 Negosyo Center Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The RTWG Chairman, RD Leah Pulido Ocampo, led the discussion and emphasized the need to determine the areas of prioritization to fast-track the timeline of the procurement of projects.

Key areas discussed were the presentation and evaluation of the five (5) SSF projects for 2024: the cold chain facility of LGU Buguey, Cagayan; the meat processing equipment of LGU Cabagan Isabela; the mango processing facility project of Queen Isabela Producers Cooperative; the coffee shop center of the Provincial Government of Quirino; and the ginger processing facility of DIOFARMCO of Quirino.

Moreover, the presentation and evaluation of SSF projects for UA extension and those with expired usufruct agreements eligible for the donation were also tackled, as were the issues and concerns regarding the implementation of the program to further advance the operationalization and efficiency of the SSFs in the region.

Meanwhile, the next meeting for the discussion of other proposed projects for establishment, UA extension, transfer, and donation is scheduled for June this year. In attendance during the meeting were DTI R2 regional and provincial SSF focal persons, technical assistants, SSF cooperators and technical consultants, and Mr. Arturo Tabbu of Lighthouse Cooperative, among others.
