TAYTAY, RIZAL — Last March 31, 2023, the Local Government of Taytay through the Public Employment Service Office headed conducted a MSMEs Stakeholders Forum at ISC Event Hall at Brgy. San Juan, Taytay. Among guests were Mr. Flint Gorospe and Ms. Joy Angelyn Parabas of DOLE – Rizal, BPLO head Atty. Joaquin Defante, Councilor Philip Jeison Cruz, PCCI Taytay Mr. Ric Dominguez, Jr., DTI Rizal TIDS Jonalyn Adaya and Vice Mayor Pia Cabral graced the occasion.   Participants were MSMEs, Tiangge Stall Owners and Lessor, Rural Banks, Brokerage Company, NGOs/Cooperatives, Realtors, and Taytay Local Economic Development Investment Promotion Office.  PESO Head Gina De Leon Pineda facilitated the activity.

Ms. Parabaras of DOLE presented various benefits of employed and unemployed women which includes among others; the minimum wage of Rizal province under the minimum wage law, leave privileges of were also enumerated and explained including solo parents and pregnant women.  Ms. Parabaras reiterated the importance of availing of these privileges to help them cope with the economic challenges.  Negosyo Cetner Taytay Business Counselor Raymond Melendres  presented the DTI’s programs and assistance to MSMEs.   Atty. Defante of BPLO discussed the issuance of permits and the corresponding computation.  He also addressed the issue on illegal vendors within the area of the Tiangges.

During the open forum, Councilor Cruz also explained how the Sangguniang Bayan addresses the issue on illegal vendors adding that their office is partial in protecting the interest of entrepreneurs in Taytay.  TIDS Adaya expounded on the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program and various addition in DTI’s assistance to MSMEs.  Lastly, Vice Mayor Pia Cabral gave an inspirational message to entrepreneurs and thank various government offices like DOLE and DTI in their unwavering support in the development of our entrepreneurs.
