NORTHERN MINDANAO – Fifty-seven entrepreneurs in Northern Mindanao join the second batch of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10’s Kapatid Mentor ME-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Program to scale up their businesses thru coaching and mentoring.
The 2023 KMME-MME Online Program Batch 2 was officially launched on July 27, 2023 at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
The second batch of the mentoring program was composed of entrepreneurs from various sectors (youth, online, women, tourism, etc.) of the region. Thirteen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are from Bukidnon, 6 from Camiguin, 12 from Lanao del Norte, 12 from Misamis Occidental, and 14 from Misamis Oriental.
KMME is a 10-module mentorship program that optimizes weekly face-to-face interactions between the mentors and the mentees with the key goal of boosting the entrepreneurial capacity through improved access to Mentorship, Money, and Market. It is an initiative of DTI and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.
DTI Regional Operations Group (ROG) Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona assured the mentees of the agency’s support even after their graduation.
“We commit to continue to support via our other programs such as the Shared Service Facilities; One Town, One Product Next Generation; SME Roving Academy; access to financing programs, especially from the SB Corporation; attendance to trade fairs; and others.” Usec. Lantayona said.
“Our Negosyo Center in the region will be your first top, one stop shop in accessing the DTI programs In the area.”
DTI-10 Regional Director Ermedio J. Abang shared success stories of mentee-graduates in his welcome address and hoped to share more stories of new mentees in future batches of KMME.
RD Abang also described KMME as an opportunity for the mentees to learn from the mentors and to make significant connections with fellow mentees to collectively flourish.
The launching was followed by a discussion of Module 1 on Entrepreneurial Mind-setting and Values Formation by Mr. John Paul Lanot and Module 2 on Marketing Mindset by Mr. Adriano Zen Pastoriza.
The KMME-MME Batch 2 Online Program will run from July to October 2023. ♦
