NORTHERN MINDANAO – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 recently conducted a capacity building for entrepreneurial mindsetting to jail officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 10.
Twenty-one Livelihood Program Officers of BJMP-10 completed the one-day training on Entrepreneurship Mindsetting and 10 Personal Entrepreneurial Characteristics on September 19, 2023 at the BJMP Regional Office 10, Cagayan de Oro City.
The training aims to encourage the participants to engage in entrepreneurship and enrich them with valuable knowledge on the fundamentals of starting and managing a business.
MSME and training consultant, Ms. Christine Laurente, facilitated the session, which also includes a discussion on the basic consumer rights.
The learnings will be shared by the Livelihood Program Officers to the persons deprived of liberty(PDLs) to support their rehabilitation and reintegration.
The training was conducted as part of DTI-10 and BJMP-10’s memorandum of agreement to establish partnerships for capacity building initiatives and enhance the skills and competencies of PDLs to support their successful reintegration into society. ♦
