Embracing camaraderie in the workplace, the Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 held its first-ever face-to-face Mid-Year Assembly after four years of virtual assemblies on 31 July to 1 August 2023 at Villa Diana Hotel, Cordon, Isabela.

With the theme “Empowered by LEAH: Leading, Engaging, and Achieving with a Heart”, 225 employees of DTI Region 2 came together to celebrate teamwork in the continuous pursuit of its mandates.

In her opening message, Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo underscored the mandates of the agency in the frontline during the occurrence of natural calamities and disasters and directed units to handle and develop action plans pre-, during, and post-disaster, in accordance with the Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) focused on personnel, prices, and MSME monitoring, and information dissemination. This is due to the onslaught of typhoon ‘Egay’ in the region.

Meanwhile, to further the knowledge and reorient the employees, Atty. Anna Kharizza D. Tabilas-Villacete, Senior Human Resource Specialist of the Cagayan-Batanes Field Office of the Civil Service Commission Region 2, discussed the RA 6713, also known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Government Officials and Employees and Office Decorum.

The agency also conducted a socialization night at the end of the day and various team-building activities on the second day.
