MANDALUYONG CITY — Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will be in the limelight as the Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) celebrates the 2023 MSME Week on July 10-14, 2023 with the theme “Upgrade, Upskill, and Upsize MSMEs”.
The celebration aligns with the administration’s aim to level up MSMEs into large enterprises through technology and innovation.
DTI-3 joins the Bureau of Small, Medium Enterprise Development (BSMED) in leading the celebration by providing free business capability trainings, workshops, and trade fairs across the region.
At least 20 training and learning sessions will be conducted. Among the topics include exporting, tax rules, virtual marketing, intellectual property rights, costing and pricing, product innovation and enhancement, financial literacy, and business continuity planning among others.
A series of trade fairs will also be held in some of the provinces of the region. Bataan will hold the Likha ng Bataeños Trade Fair on July 12-16 at the Walter Mart-Balanga while Walter Mart-Malolos will host the Bulacan MSME Week Fair on July 10-14.
The Obra at Kultura ng Nueva Ecija (OK NE!) products will be featured in a trade fair at Robinson’s Gapan on July 12-16. Zambales will have its own MSME Week Fair on July 12-16 at Walter Mart-Subic. DTI – Aurora will showcase a number of Skills Training including cacao food processing, coconut-based food products processing, root crops processing, and skills upgrading on coco shell handicrafts.
Tarlac will hold the BizConEx (Business Convention and Expo) on July 10-12 at the Bulwagan ng Kanlahi, Tarlac City. Pampanga will conduct the Pamanigaral – productivity Improvement for MSMEs on July 11 and the Pasantingan ACT (Product Development Program on July 14.
The DTI-3 Regional Office will hold the Usapang Exports learning session on July 13 at the Royce Hotel, Clark, Pampanga and the YEP (Youth Entrepreneurship Program) You Can Be Your Own Boss Sessions at the Regional Office on July 18-23.
On the national level, the National Food Fair will be held on July 12-16 at SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. ♦
