Creative Industries Planning Meeting on August 19, 2023 with DTI 7 execom and DTI Competitiveness Bureau Assistant Director Jo-Dann Darong and Lead Project Officer Nicanor Germono Jr., and key stakeholders from diverse fields such as animation, game development, film, graphic design, printed media, and functional design in Central Visayas.

CEBU CITY – The Philippine Creative Industries Month (PCIM) is celebrated this September as declared under RA 11904 or the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act (PCIDA).

In line with this, the DTI Region 7 Central Visayas is thrilled to unveil the “FiestaKucha Cebu” event — a dynamic platform for celebrating and enriching the diverse talents in our region.

The “FiestaKucha” Launch is the main stage of various events and activities anchored on the celebration and promotion of various forms of creativity, artistic expression, and innovation.
The project name is inspired by a combination of the Filipino tradition called “Fiestas” and the Japanese story-telling style coined as “PechaKucha.”

The festival will nurture and inspire creative industries by focusing on cultural exchange, collaboration, support for emerging artists and creatives, creative entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

DTI 7 will announce on September 08, 2023 (Friday) at the “FiestaKucha Cebu” Launching Event (venue TBC) its month-long programs and activities for its local creatives.
