The 17th Padday na Lima Regional Trade Fair, an annual event that promoted economic growth and cultural preservation in the region, went back to the metro, bringing Flavors of Cagayan Valley—an exceptional food and wine-tasting component showcasing the finest locally-produced wines and food products crafted by the dedicated Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Region 2.

After a series of product development, packaging, and labeling assistance from DTI and in collaboration with local government units and private stakeholders, the event was an appreciation and celebration of Cagayan Valley’s art of winemaking and food processing. It served as a testament to the resilience and creativity of Cagayan Valley’s entrepreneurs and their dedication to producing high-quality products.

A diverse array of food products such as peanuts, chicharica and chicharabao, okra chips, corniks, banana chips, ube-hopia, and wakay (sweet potato) cookies and wines made from nipa, guyabano, lubeg, dragon fruit, and bignay were available that surely delighted the taste buds of everyone.

The five-day food and wine tasting event was open to the public for FREE and ran from 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m., respectively, from 9-13 August 2023 at Carousel Court, Upper Ground Floor, West Wing, Festival Mall, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
