NORTHERN MINDANAO – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon joins other government agencies in bringing services closer to the public during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Malaybalay, Bukidnon last November 11-12, 2023.

BPSF is one of the flagship programs under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. The program is designed to bring major government services to underprivileged Filipinos by giving them easier access to social services, livelihood and education services, etc.

DTI conducted the following frontline services during the service caravan: (1) Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Entrepreneurship Seminar; (2) Negosyo Center Business Counseling, Industry Cluster profiling and consultation, and Online Business Name (BN) Registration; (3) Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) free registration; (4) One Town, One Product (OTOP) NextGen Product Development Consultation (Packaging and Labelling) and Mini Fair; (5) Small Business Corporation Financing Consultation; (6) Consumer Education; and (7) Fair Trade Law Advocacy.

It also organized a Diskwento Caravan Noche Buena Edition and Kadiwa ng Pangulo that served 4,967 customers; generated sales of P628,420.55; and with 24 participating sellers.

Additionally, a ceremonial turnover of kits was conducted. Beneficiaries of DTI Bukidnon’s Rural Agro-Enterprise Program for Inclusive Development (RAPID) and Growth special project received coffee rejuvenation tool kits; livelihood kits for Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG); and improved OTOP Packaging Materials to 5 MSMEs/cooperatives.

Meanwhile, SB Corporation awarded Certificate of Loan Approval to qualified loan applicants, with total amount of P4 million.

DTI Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino graced the caravan; Bukidnon is the seventh stop of the BPSF. ♦
