In a landmark collaboration, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Isabela, led by OIC Division Chief Zenaida M. Quinto together with STIDS Shynne Cecille Arao and STIDS Mary Rose Dumpit, convened with Isabela State University’s Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IP-TBM) Focal – Dean Eva U. Cammayo on April 30, 2024 held at CBAPA Department, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela.

The aim of the meeting was to explore avenues for the commercialization of the university’s registered Intellectual Properties (IPs). Following a highly productive session, several pivotal agreements were forged, including ISU’s commitment to provide an updated IP list to DTI Isabela, present IPs for commercialization during the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (PSMEDC) 2nd Quarter Meeting, integrate IP filing orientation into the BYOB training program, and offer free IP filing assistance to MSMEs through ISU IP-TBM.

This collaboration signifies a significant stride towards leveraging intellectual assets for economic advancement in Isabela province, embodying a commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth in the region.
