The retail event is organized jointly by the DTI Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) and the DTI Consumer Policy and Advocacy Bureau (CPAB), in coordination with the DTI Regional Operations Group, and in partnership with the Barangay Bel-Air Government Unit, the Makati Central Estate Association, the Alagang AyalaLand, the Ayala Property Management Corporation, the National Development Company, and the Makati Parking Authority.

The DTI. through the BDTP and CPAB, is bringing its two major programs to help consumers gain access to affordable basic and prime commodities from major manufacturers and distributors as well as the best products of micro and small enterprises from various provinces.

The Bagsakan Special Project started as a crisis-response initiative in 2020 in support of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.  It is aimed at helping ensure the supply of food and essential products for consumers and at the same time, assist farmers, fruit growers, social cooperatives, and MSMEs to market their product and generate income amid the pandemic. Meanwhile, the DTI Diskwento Caravan is widely known for providing reasonably-priced quality products to consumers in cooperation with the local government units and the manufacturers of basic commodities.

In preparation for the event, the DTI reminds consumers that health and safety protocols, like wearing facemasks and social distancing, will be strictly implemented. The general public is also encouraged to join the online communities of the DTI to get the latest updates on various initiatives for consumers and enterprises.
