LILIW, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) conducted an entrepreneurship seminar under the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) – Livelihood Seeding Program (LSP) for the first batch at the Municipal Covered Court, Barangay Pag-asa, Liliw, Laguna, on September 2, 2020.  

A total of 26 beneficiaries and 4 potential entrepreneurs attended the said event. Topics discussed were on the DTI Programs and Services, Project Brief on Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay – Livelihood Seeding Program, How to Start a Business and Business Plan.  

This activity aims to help increase the number of business enterprises in the countryside as well as create additional jobs. Also, this program allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing programs, activities, and services closer to the people, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In conjunction with the NSB-LSP, a Consumer Education and Advocacy Initiative was also facilitated where DTI – Laguna discussed the Basic Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and the Salient Features of the Consumer Act of the Philippines. This activity aims to increase the consumer awareness level and to help provide better protection to consumers.♦
