NAGCARLAN, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office thru Negosyo Center Nagcarlan conducted a free webinar on retail management via an online conferencing platform on September 2, 2020. A total of 42 potential and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) joined the said webinar. This not only aims to help MSMEs develop the effectiveness of promotional schemes in retail stores and but also aims to help MSMEs enhance their retail management strategies as they shift in promoting their products and services digitally amidst Covid-19.
Business Counsellor Jestine Arguidas, Negosyo Center Nagcarlan, acknowledged all the participants at the start of the webinar. This was also aired via Facebook Live to reach a wider audience. She further acknowledged the presence of other Business Counsellors from different Negosyo Centers in Laguna.
Arguidas then introduced the resource speaker, Dr. Caesar Apolinar Ramirez Jr., a Go Negosyo mentor, freelance trainer, coach, professor, and an online business owner. Ramirez Jr. shared his knowledge and expertise as he discussed different types of customers, principles of successful retails, and practical strategies for retailing.
The 2-hour webinar was concluded with closing remarks after the participants were asked to answer the online client satisfactory feedback form. Based from the feedback gathered, the attendees expressed their gratitude toward the event. This webinar is part of the SME Roving Academy, a continuous learning program led by DTI for the development of MSMEs to become competitive in the domestic and international markets. ♦
