QUEZON PROVINCE — As an expression of nationalism and for being compliant with the guidelines stipulated in Republic Act No. 8491, otherwise known as the “Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines,” the DTI Quezon Provincial Office conducted its flag ceremonies for the month of January 2023.

Flag-raising ceremonies were held on all Mondays of January 2023 at exactly 8:00 a.m., with participation by its employees, both regular and contractual, on-the-Job trainees, and DOLE-GIP interns. These also include the recitation of Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, and the DTI Quality Policy. Also, part of the ceremony was the discussion of upcoming activities per division led by Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa, including the Consumer Protection Division, Business Development Division, Finance and Admin Unit, and Office of the Provincial Director. New contractual employees and OJTs were introduced by Administrative Officer Patrick Acesor.

Flag-lowering ceremonies were also conducted for the month of January by singing the National Anthem at exactly 5:00 p.m.

During the ceremonies, the minimum health and safety protocols were still observed by the staff. ♦
