RIZAL – The Department of Trade and Industry – Rizal Provincial Office, alongside the Department of Trade and Industry – Region IV-A, recently conducted the Ceremonial awarding of SSF project ownership to Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Inc. (TWHI) and the University of Rizal System – Morong (URSM). The awarding was conducted at the SSF locations of the participating cooperators.
At the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, a quick tour was facilitated by Mr. Domingo and Mr. Alegre. They showed their SSF production area, packaging area, and gift house, where their E-Wheelchair (OTOP NG prototype) was displayed.
CFIDP Staff Jerome Montealegre hosted the award ceremony. CTIDS Sharon Dioco presented the SSF Project Overview. Inspirational messages from DTI-Rizal Provincial Director Cleotilde Duran and DTI-IV A SMEDD Chief Marina Manalo followed.
Their production director, Domingo Literal, received the SSF Certificate of Ownership award. He thanked the DTI Team for the impact of the SSF Project on their organization and the PWD community.
After TWHI, the team proceeded to the University of Rizal System Morong Campus. The awarding started with an invocation by URSM Research and Development Vice President Dr. Marites M. Rio, followed by a presentation of the SSF Project Overview of CTIDS Dioco.
Director Duran thanked the cooperators and said that the turnover of the SSF is not the end of DTI’s assistance to them but the start of another fruitful partnership with the university. CTIDS Manalo of DTI 4A congratulated the cooperator for proving that the university can sustainably manage and operate the food testing laboratory. The Certificate of Ownership was received by URS University President Dr. Nancy T. Pascual, who thanked the DTI for their support and assistance to the academy.
A total of 18 participants participated in the ceremonial awarding of TWHI and URS, graced by PD Duran, CTIDS Dioco, Mr. Montealegre, DTI-Rizal SSF Coordinator Noralyn Halimao, and DTI-Rizal SSF Support Staff Paolo Garrovillas. ♦
