SERCOMM Philippines continues to ‘Make It Happen in the Philippines ’as it announced a major milestone with production of its networking and broadband equipment recently reached 10 million units. The telecommunications and broadband equipment manufacture has posted investments totaling USD45 M, to date, since opening in Carmelray Industrial Park 1 in Calamba, Laguna 18 months ago (in 2019). This was disclosed by the Department of Trade and Industry – Board of Investments (DTI-BOI) in coordination with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)– Taipei Office and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
“The company is at the forefront among Taiwanese companies that have decided to establish their manufacturing bases to the Philippines growing rapidly in the past two years since inception. This is an excellent example for other companies still considering to make the Philippines their second home. We are very pleased that the Philippines has played a major role in the company’s stellar performance,” Trade Secretary and BOI Chairman Ramon M. Lopez said.
